Here is an article about today's constructor Josiah Breward. Talk about shock and awe!
For those who are too lazy to go to the link, here is a recap:
Josiah Breward is pseudonym of Mr. Wayne Robert Williams & his brother Thomas Williams.
Willy A. Wiseman is a pseudonym of Wayne Robert Williams himself.
Michael T. Williams, is a real name, he is Wayne Robert Williams’ nephew.
Of course, Wayne Robert Williams is our TMS Crossword Editor. He can be contacted at tmscrosswords@aol.com.

Found this site by accident while trying to google some answers. Boy, did you make me feel old (41) when you didn't know what microfiche was. Didn't you ever have to look something up on micorfilm or microfiche at the library when doing a research project - you know those old machines where you have to turn the wheel to scroll across the pages? Thanks for helping with the answers! M.S. in Pennsylvania
Interesting that Mr Williams has two nom de plumes. Stanley Newman, editor of Newsday crossword puzzle also has 2. Makes one wonder if Mr Shortz may follow suit.
Feste
Here is a tongue in cheek expose of Will Shortz.
I too found this site by accident but must say I enjoyed it immensely! I am one that will work on a puzzle for days.I use any resource I can to finish it.That is how I found this site. Not only did I get help but enjoyed the comments you made as well. Thanks for helping and I hope I can find you again.
According to the official calendar of Saints by the Catholic Church, July 26th is the feast of St. Ann, not Anne
Found your site when I was stumped on a clue and it led me to you. I check in once a day now, even f I have solved the entire puzzle by myself. I like your witty comments.

Loreen,
Thank you for nice words. Hope to see you often.
I suppose this has been addressed earlier, but I don't know blogs. Found this site by googling.
Why did Tribune replace Wayne Robert Williams? Did he retire, or what? I was comfy with his puzzles & am pulling hair out with some of the LA Times clues.
BTW, how do I find your answer to this question?
Thanks.
OutAtheLoop in IL,
Yes, Wayne R. Williams has retired. TMS started to replace his TMS Daily with Rich Norris LA Times Daily on March 23, 2009. Be patient. It takes time to adjust to a new editor and his cluing style.
