Well, I don’t want to
overuse the phrase “a walk in the park “ but you have to admit this puzzle was pretty darn easy. The theme was evident from the start, for one thing.
Anyway, FIR, so I’m happy.

Good morning! -- Temp in the 60's for the first time in many moons.

Zipped right through this one with nary a glance at the circles, nor any thought to the theme. [Sigh] The Wite-Out got a rest. I've heard "keep it clean," but never PC. Makes sense, though. TOPPER reminds me of the TV series back in the 50's with Leo G. Carroll as Topper and Anne Jeffreys and Robert Sterling as the married ghost couple. Thanx, Amie, Amanda, and Hahtoolah. (I really enjoyed the half peace sign and the library cartoons.)

It’s actually PG in the puzzle, but PC would also work in the phrase (which I’ve never heard).

I believe Amanda’s last name is Rafkin and not Rifkin

FIR, but my canoes became KAYAKS.

EVIE's in Sarasota may be my favorite casual restaurant anywhere. It has a driving range, miniature golf course, great burgers, great pizza, an ice cream shop, and is next to a full-service car wash. Golf club manufacturers occasionally hold fitting sessions there as well. The timing is nearly perfect to drop off your car for detailing, hit a bucket of balls, and have a great lunch just as the detailers finish with your car.

The only rendition of Angel Of The Morning I know is by Merrilee Rush & The Turnabouts.

How about "Cary Grant classic" for TOPPER?

Unlike prior comments from my fellow peanut gallery denizens, I found this one to be fairly difficult and not much fun. But I did enjoy the review, especially "half peace sign" and the chicken pot pi.

FIR. Another puzzle with circles. And a theme built around a song I've never heard of. Fortunately I ignored the circles and just did the solve.
There were several clues I found too vague with answers that seemed too obtuse. But the perps were there where needed.
However overall this was not an enjoyable puzzle.

BOy, I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see circles are aroUND.
(Hey, aren't all circles round?)

I didn't know the Actress of the Day (Cox) or the singer (Evie), but I knew both of the One Hit Wonders (Jump Around & Mmmbop), which helped out a lot. I did not know "idli", which sure seems like a Saturday clue/answer to me, as does "ube."

Oh joy, circles!

agreed, I barely looked at the downs at all, filling in the acrosses probably knocked out like 80% of the puzzle

Juice Newton made it to the top ten with her version of Angel Of The Morning back in '81.

After doing the usual JUMPING AROUND the grid I FIR, the clue themes were obvious.
Inkovers: LornaDoon/LEMONSNAP, steal,stalk/SNEAK.

Now I remember that Hanson’s MMMBop song.

EPS? Seriously 😒… EVIE Sands?

Eat too many “Avocados” and you won’t be able to SKINNY DIP. (FAT DIP?)

So a “caution light” is not yellow. “But officer the the light was AMBER” ☹️

The last YAMAHA snowmobile is the 2025 model. The company is exiting the market.

DO: I barely remember the 1950’s sitcom TOPPER. A banker living in a house haunted by a fun loving ghost couple.

Thought a “Chrysalis” and cocoon were the same. Wrong. Dr. Google says: “Chrysalis”: hard-shelled PUPA of a butterfly. “Cocoon”: silk case around the PUPA of a moth (“pupa” Latin/Italian for “doll” hence puppet)

Vehicle with runners: “a bus full of joggers” wouldn’t fit. 😃

Did the puzzle waiting for my car to be serviced. Hmmm. Now what do I do?

The theme JUMPed out at me pretty quickly, yet I was not familiar with song title for the reveal. But, like many other places in this puzzle, perps helped.

Perps also needed for HANSON, IDLI, COX, EVIE. So this puzzle was not á SPEED RUN for me.

I find HONEY CRISP apples very TASTY.

Thank you Hahtoolah for the nice review. I too particularly liked the one finger V and the librarian trap.

Started off a little hard for me, but I perped my way thru. Just the way I like my puzzles. The write up today was exceptional Hahtoolah! Loved the comics, they made me smile:). And, may have changed my outlook on life, like the next time someone flips me the bird, I will look at it a whole different way...

my impish response...

Learning moment: Banksy Art.
I never saw this before, definitely worth examining in more detail. Very thought provoking Art. here's a poser for current events...

Amie and Amanda made a nifty puzzle, but Patti pulled a trick on early week solvers by scheduling it on Tuesday! DNK the DUO (by their names, anyway), Ms COX, the JUMP AROUND song, EVIE Sands, or SAME LOVE. Only knew IDLI from crosswords. And did not like EPS at 20-Across.

OTOH, I loved Hahtoolah's choice of cartoons, especially Early Dog Sledding, Chicken Pot Pie, and the librarian trap. You would definitely catch me with that one.

Thanks, ladies, and thanks to all of you for your company in this Corner.

Good Morning:

My earlier comment wouldn’t publish due to some Internal glitch. I won’t try to reconstruct my post word for word but the gist was that there were several unknowns, i.e., Evie, Idli, Same Love, Ube, but that the perps were fair and solid. I took exception to Keep It PG as being in the green paint realm and to the cluing of Storm with an unnecessary proper name reference. (Another one of Patti’s trademark decisions.) I understand that Tuesday level of difficulty calls for circles for the benefit of newbies.

Thanks, Amie and Amanda, and thanks, Hahtoolah, for the fun and fact-filled review. Lots of chuckles with today’s comics, particularly the Dog Sledders, the Chicken Pot Pi, the Thanksgiving Turkeys, and the Armored Knights.

Have a great day.

Terrific Tuesday. Thanks for the fun, Amie and Amanda, and Hahtoolah (I LOLed at that 1/2 peace sign!).
I FIRed in good time (but not exactly a WITP) and saw the JUMP AROUND theme. The synonyms for JUMP were in the circles AROUND the themer phrase.

Unknown-to-me names, groups (COX, HANSON, IDLI, EVIE) perped.
It took an alphabet run to get the T in the FAT/ALT cross.
I thought of a piano keyboard (YAMAHA perhaps) in the clue for 41A, and was puzzled. When ALT perped, I thought it was an abbreviation (to go with “combo”) for ALTo, I was still a little perplexed. Thanks for the AHA moment, Hahtoolah.
Hand up for a meh at EPS.

We call our caution light Yellow.
I’m familiar with Ginger SNAPs but not LEMON.
I noted TSKS and ASKS.

Favourite today was the clue for RTE.

Wishing you all a great day.

Got 'er done, but some of the clues were a tad on the weak side. EPS? ...PG? Perps were fair, though. I prefer the Churchillian version of the V-sign: VICTORY! (or, "peace through superior firepower")
